TORONTO, Canada - June 27, 2007 -
Opalis Software, Inc., the Run Book Automation market leader
with over 1,100 customers, today announced that
its Opalis Integration Server was named a winner of the
“Best of Tech•Ed Awards 2007” in the Management category at
Microsoft’s premier annual event
by Penton Media’s Windows IT Pro®, SQL Server Magazine®, and
Office & Sharepoint Pro.com.
“This is the sixth year of this awards program and every
year we see a substantial increase in the number and level
of entries,” said Karen Forster, group
editorial and strategic director. “While we had many worthy
products among the more than 260 IT products and services we
evaluated, the winners clearly
demonstrated their products’ strategic importance to the
market, competitive advantages, and the value they provide
to customers.”
Opalis’ Run Book Automation software incorporates the
people, process, and technology required to orchestrate,
integrate, and automate IT best
practices, improving service delivery and service levels,
while reducing operational costs. This is achieved through a
scalable architecture, broad capabilities
to automate IT workflows and processes, easy-to-use
administrator interface for modification of pre-existing
workflows or creation of new ones, and
extensive integration capability out-of-the-box to hundreds
of IT management and provisioning products.
“Opalis is honored to be recognized for leadership by the
Tech•Ed judging committee and to accept this prestigious
award for the Management
category,” said Todd DeLaughter, CEO and president of Opalis.
“This confirms our superior automation solution over other
RBA vendors such as
Opsware. Our enterprise customers have selected Opalis for
highly reliable Run Book Automation across heterogeneous IT
infrastructures, with hundreds
of critical processes and thousands of servers. We will
continue to deliver the highest level of value to our
customers, while extending our technology
leadership in Run Book Automation.” |
